Does anybody know where there is some activity ASJ-wise going on anywhere on the net? Either posting of fanfic, or discussions, or whatever...

Have you tried the yahoo lists? Do a search for Alias Smith and Jones at
http://groups.yahoo.com/
asjfans is like the mother of all ASJ lists. asjcollection is mostly a notification list for when Carolyn updates her website. smithandjones is a very friendly list, but tends to go way off topic. There are a few others that you have to be approved. As far as I know these are all gen lists.

It is where I started. Actually it was onelist before yahoo ate it. It is actually fun to remember a time when yahoo was the google of the day. It might be easier if you set up a yahoo account. Probably more features and better accessibility. I don't think you need a yahoo account though. You can set up to receive individual email, daily digest or web only reading. There is something to be said for individual email. There are times I wish LJ was more of the individual email animal. But, if you get a chatty group, the individual email can become overwhelming. Another reason you might want to create a yahoo account just for your groups. I can tell you more about my experiences at the different lists in private email if you are interested.

Also check gmail. I seem to recall in my brief experience there that there were some entertainment groups.

I created a tiger.lily0 account over at Yahoo (tigerlily0 was taken). I looked at the list of ASJ groups and joined like 5 that looked like they had more than 5 members, etc. And honestly, there's practically nothing going on over there, either.
