Needle in the Hay - Alias Smith and Jones by bluemeany

Hello
New to the fandom here:-) And I come with a music video.

My Dad showed me AS&J on VHS tapes as a kid in the 90s. I remember it being about two happy-go-lucky heroes; full of fun and sunshine. It was very cool.

Aged 6, Kid Curry was always my favourite.

However, British TV is showing a re-run at the moment and now... well ...Pete Duel is definitely who I'm watching. Similarly, the whole programme has a complexity and shades of darkness that weren't there before. It is still, however, very cool.

The video tries to convey what I see now.

Oh, I like this. Nicely done. It's good to see these boys in a vid. I like how you did this, giving a classic show a shiny new look. Thanks.

Oh this is great, so happy to see a vid for these two. I've actually been half meaning to make one for months now, but it wouldn't have been this beautiful. It was a really great song choice and yeah, although it didn't necessarily show the general tone of the show, it totally captured the undertones:)

Welcome! Awesome video. I don't see a lot of focus on the undertones so very well done!

It's a long time ago I watched the show, so of course I had to watch your vid! I don't remember the series as dark as it is in your vid, but it is a very inventive and creative vid, thanks a lot for it!

This is awesome! AS&J has really been on my mind a lot lately, so your vid here has inspired me to start yet another rewatch. I can't get over how timeless this show is and how it's still inspiring people to make things like this fanvid. Lovely, lovely work! Thanks for sharing, too -- I was so in the mood for a new look at my old boys. :)

Ha ha, dating myself here, but... I used to watch the re-runs on TV as a kid, over and over and over. And over. :) In more recent years, since I got the DVDs, I've gone through them at least three times; well, the ones up through the 'Pete episodes' anyway. Nothing at all against Roger Davis - it's just that I've never had the heart to keep watching after Pete's last episode.

Hello Meanie! Fancy finding you here! I don't know if you'll see this comment as the comm doesn't seem to be active anymore, but if you do, could you let me know if your video is available anywhere online? I loved all your MfU work and "Needle in the Hay" sounds like exactly the kind of ASJ vid I've been trawling Youtube for.
