As an added Holiday bonus for the Americans among us, I tossed in the Fourth of July!

"Damn no-account, yellow-bellied, horny-toad-eating snakes!"

"What's up, Heyes?"

Heyes tossed the magazine he'd traded for to the ground. "There's a recipe for flap-jacks in here -- and some low-life went and ripped it out!"

The Kid hid his grin with a hand. Since Heyes had discovered cooking was like planning a robbery, he'd been trying to rustle up new recipes to try.

"It's OK, Heyes. I like the old flap-jacks."

Heyes gave him a glare. "These were red, white, and blue, Kid! Fourth of July'!." He picked up the magazine. "Hell, let's just light a shuck and see some fireworks."

Yes I did make the base. :) Screen captured and cropped it myself. Don't got the program or experties for more fancy stuff. Yeah, I would like that you gave credit to me. :)

LOL! Too cute! :)
Most of fanon, me included seem to have Heyes as a bad cook. But I quite like your take. 4th of July noted and appreciated. ;)
Thanks. :D

No, there's a hint in the Pete episodes. I'm not exactly sure which episode, though I think it's the one with the "lady typewriter."

There's a brief scene where Kid seems disgusted by Heyes' coffee, and possibly his food, though I think it was just his coffee, which was then extended by fandom to include that Heyes isn't a very good cook. :-D

Ah, then it's definitely not that! So either I remember incorrectly, and it was a different episode, or there is no canon about Heyes cooking and/ or coffee making abilities....

Thanks! :)

cooking was like planning a robbery is a very good idea. I guess sometimes it's the chef who dunnit.

I'm sure Kid appreciates it. Hope it helps with the coffee, too.

Sorry, the bad coffee must be fanon, then.

Answer I got was Hadleyburg. Not a direct reference. Kid just sounds derrogatory...all in the inflection...when he mentions living on this and that...and Heyes' coffee. I checked and it's about 6 1/2 minutes in. :)
