a new story

Here's the story I mentioned some time ago that Cass wrote for me. She finally decided to post it, which makes me very happy, especially since now I can share:
You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine
Post "Something to Get Hung About", the boys separate and bad things happen.

Happy New Year:)

Oh my god, poor Heyes! If you read the first one, you'll know it's bleak, but there's some unexpected hotness;) No warnings given, but it's all in the tags.

A couple of drabbles based on the pilot ep. First one is Heyes/Kid, the other is Heyes+Kid; both are PG-ish. Boy howdy, it's been a long time since I played with these cowboys :)

Rendezvous in a Bedroll

Oh my God, I love those ASJ boys. I have to tell you, I am blown away by [livejournal.com profile] tipitiwitchet's story (written for me) - the characterization is perfect. For both of the guys, while reading I had these utter 'aw' moments - if you know the chemistry between these guys, you'll know what I'm talking about. They were a perfect duo, and weirdly enough even when they were shouting at each other it was humorous, not hostile. The story has perfect characterization, warmth, longing and love tied up neatly within a ball of grief. I teared up, guys, and I just find myself waving my hands around and exclaiming how I love it. It's sad but so moving. Rendevous in a Bedroll by tipitiwitchet. (Heyes/Curry)

Take note, the story is ultimately quite bleak. Dark, but filled with angsty love. If you need further warning, please read the tags.

Not so fast draw(ing)...

Hello :-) Hope you are all having a good start to the week.

I've been doing some drawing, so I thought I'd shared. This is based a scene from an early series 1 episode.

Needle in the Hay - Alias Smith and Jones

Needle in the Hay - Alias Smith and Jones by bluemeany

New to the fandom here:-) And I come with a music video.

My Dad showed me AS&J on VHS tapes as a kid in the 90s. I remember it being about two happy-go-lucky heroes; full of fun and sunshine. It was very cool.

Aged 6, Kid Curry was always my favourite.

However, British TV is showing a re-run at the moment and now... well ...Pete Duel is definitely who I'm watching. Similarly, the whole programme has a complexity and shades of darkness that weren't there before. It is still, however, very cool.

The video tries to convey what I see now.

NS: Luxury Accommodations (Heyes/Curry, PG-13)

Title: Luxury Accommodations
Author: [livejournal.com profile] hardboiledbaby
Pairing: Hannibal Heyes/Kid Curry
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1,039
Warnings: none
Summary: They'd had to pay extra, but there was a lot to be said for the luxury of having a bathtub right in their room, the convenience and comfort of it... and the privacy.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] solosundance as part of [livejournal.com profile] fandomaid's Typhoon Haiyan relief effort. Her prompt: the first hotel room they ever shared, or the best hotel room they ever shared. I'm not sure the fic quite fits either of those exactly, but there is a hotel room. And also, gratuitous bathing *g* Thank you for your generous donation! I hope you enjoy the story ♥ ♥ ♥

Beta'd by the inimitable [livejournal.com profile] quoshara, who holds my hand and makes everything all better. Alas, the muse will insist on meddling; resulting errors are mine alone.

Fic Recs?

I'm re-watching the series again and it has sparked an interest in fic.

First off, is there a comm for fic searches? I have a few other fandoms that have these and they are a godsend. If you know of any, please let me know.

Just in case there isn't, I'm looking for fics that center on the getting of the amnesty: just leading up to it, and the getting of it. I'm also interested in stories that touch on public opinion when the word gets out.

Also, I'd love to read any fics that are must-reads for the fandom. Not a fan of slash and I think that's the only no-no. Ooh, I love crossovers!

Thanks in advance for any and all help

NS:Rain from Heaven

Well, actually, it's an old story--I think I wrote this in 2001 or thereabouts, but it I did a little punctuation editing and cleaned up the format. The multiple POV makes me cringe now days, but at the time, it was one of the longer stories I'd ever written.
